Day 7-Pride and Hearing

Day 7-PAFUMH

It doesn't  take a rocket scientist to see that we need to learn more about the spirit of God, and how to hear him. It's also a no brainer to know that Pride, can separate us from his love and of course His blessings. hence, on this 7th day, I believe God is giving us an opportunity to approach him again, and ask. Lord, teach us how to hear from you, and help us to walk not in pride.

The bible says For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. (I John 2:16 NKJV) Hence, it takes an active Christian who actively pursues the Holy Spirit and walk in his path, and who has no pride in him/her to achieve any success in life.

The devil, as subtle as he is, want us to be deaf to the Holy Spirit and also be filled with pride. The devil has failed. He will eternally fail in your life. Amen. Do not yield to him. He will tell you that you can do it on your own, that is a devil's lie. Without God we are nothing, but with him, we can do all. We are more than conquerors. Yield to the spirit, and reject the flesh. Live, and not die.

Meditate on the following passages as use them to pray for the next 12 hours, with fasting:

Rev 1:10
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, (Revelation 1:10 NKJV). You can only hear him, if you are in him.

Is 30v20-21
...oh Lord, teach me how to hear right and to walk in it...

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. (Romans 8:12-15, 17 NKJV)

On Pride
There they cry out, but He does not answer, Because of the pride of evil men. (Job 35:12 NKJV)

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18 NKJV)
However, hear...
Ps 25v9
The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. (Psalms 25:9 NKJV)

You can pray that:
Holy Spirit, you are a teacher, teach me
Holy Spirit, you are a guide, guide me
Teach me to hear you
Teach me to pray to you
Teach me to stand and heed your instructions
Teach me to rely on you.

Take pride away from me
Nullify every human decision over me
Correct me, rebuke me, convict me, and let me live a life of humility
Teach me how to fear you
Teach me how to rely totally on you.

KORAN: IS THE PASTOR, SILLY

I find the art of burning symbols or even in the most diabolical circumstances, political burning of human beings ranked as one of the basest evil that man can do to man. However, I found it strange for an evangelical Pastor to plan, arrange and canvass for the burning of the Koran as most strange and uncalled for...it shows nothing but abject stupidity and unchristian! Could this be the beginning of Islam-phobic that may set a tinder box of inflammable consequences all over the world or its going to be seen as one of those attention seeking gesture of ignominy. Thinking about it, it can achieve nothing but unnecessary boiling of the temperature of the religious tensions all over the world.
