BE POSITIVE IN YOUR THINKING

3. Be Positive in your thinking.
One of the cardinal points that Kenneth Haggin espoused in this teaching is that 'you must let every thought and desire affirm that you have what you asked for'

This can be very difficult. Mostly because our senses are saying different things, the reality of life is saying 'you can't be serious' 'cant you see?' Hence it is easier to break down and say look, I better be realistic. And it is usually at that stage that the devil triumphs. So do not allow doubt to persist. Reject doubt and live in a positive frame of mind. Keep restating the word. Declare like Jesus declared in Matthew 4, that it is written. The devil can be resisted. James 4:7 confirmed that we can resist the devil and 'he will flee from you'

One of the key passages of the bible that Kenneth Haggin used is 1 Peter 5: 8. The devil is walking like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour. He is not the Lion of the tribe of Judah, he is a pretender. So, unless you are sober and vigilant, he can upstage you. 'Satan also can move in spiritual realm' So, do not be surprised if after praying you begin to see contrary manifestations through dreams, vision etc. They are lies of the devil, if they run contrary to what the word of God says. I have experienced people who at the point of breakthroughs in their prayers, the devil had lied to them, and gave them  negative agenda that scared them away from their open heavens. So be consistent and refuse any imagination that the enemy may give to you.

Renew your mind. Just as we are told in Romans 12:2  'And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God' Paul in this letter was saying, for us to succeed in our Christian life, we need to submit our mind to God, and refuse what the world 'reality' is telling us. And again Paul in the letter to the church at Philipa, (Philippians 4:8) says 'finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.'

I believe once you have prayed, begin to meditate on noble, just, pure, good report and virtuous things, rather than the opposite. In my experience, the devil and doubt will vanish from your heart and mind. You can't be thinking negative and expect positive things to happen to you. No matter how many times you pray or how long your fasting is, until you resist doubt, believe that your prayers are answered, it may be a struggle. Your life will not be a life of struggles in Jesus Name. Amen
