How to receive from the Father-Step 7(Final Step)

Make that prayer a statement of faith. You can believe you have received that prayer immediately you've prayed it. Move to a statement of faith rather than a prayer said in unbelief. You prayed it, so believe it, rather than doubt it. After you have prayed, begin to declare that you have received your petition. Claim it, check and expect the answer. Smith Wigglesworth once said "If you pray seven times for any one thing, you prayed six times in unbelief" I think the purport of this is to say, after you have prayed, say: Father I thank you for answering my prayers. Your demeanour, and your outlook should not remain as it was prior to your prayers and petitions. For example, Hannah was said to change her countenance after she had prayed for a child. 1Samuel 1:18 'and she said, Let your maidservant find favour in your sight. So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.' It goes to show that once you have prayed and fasted for a petiti...

step 6-THANK HIM BEFORE YOU RECEIVE FROM HIM

STEP 6-THANK HIM BEFORE YOU RECEIVE FROM HIM Philippians 4:6 says Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. I believe God knew that with prayer comes doubt, worry, anxiety etc. Especially when what you have prayed for, seems very impossible, urgent and important to your breakthrough. Like I wrote before, the devil stands ready to bring all sorts of worry to our mind when we have finished praying. The word of the Lord is saying instead of fear, doubt or worry, praise and offer thanks. For you to offer thanks for what you have not seen, I believe, is evidence that you already believe you have received it. It's only a thankful heart that can receive a needful petition. There was a lady who I was told, shared a testimony where she thanked the Lord more than 7,000 times for giving her a life partner. She barely left the place of thanksgiving when God answered her. I believe it is the ...

MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD-STEP 5

ASKING THE FATHER: STEP 5-MEDITATE ON HIS PROMISES Hope you are following the steps. By the way, I need to add that all the steps are in sequence and must be followed in that order. God, however, is a gracious father, He will not delay your answers just because you have not followed a particular formula. We teach these things to enhance your Christian walk, so that you can enjoy a wonderful progress on this journey of life. Let us look at step 5. Meditate on God's Promises(word) Prov 4:20-22 identify certain criteria: 1. Attend to my words . This phrase counsels us to give heart to God's word. Give attention to it, for God will make His word good and certain in your life. This is very important, because it is at this stage that you begin to see yourself in your answered prayer. If you are asking for healing, see yourself healed by meditating on God's words. Isaiah 53:5 assures us that By His stripes we were healed. So, it's a done deal. Step into your hea...

STEPS TO ASKING THE FATHER-STEP 4:GUARD YOUR MIND

In the last piece, we reviewed the need to think positively when you have prayed. Refusing to allow what you see discourage or break down your prayer fervency. In this piece, I want to say a little about the next step. It is guarding your mind . Note the following key points: 1. Your mind is a battle field , you are responsible for guarding it. Your mind is what the devil want to use to confuse you. He is interested in distorting your mind in such a way that you begin to doubt the word of God as soon as you have presented that petition before God. He knows, once you doubt, all faithful expectations are gone. The bible teaches in James 1:6-8 'But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways' This is a very damning passage for anyone who doubts. How does the devi...

BE POSITIVE IN YOUR THINKING

3. Be Positive in your thinking. One of the cardinal points that Kenneth Haggin espoused in this teaching is that 'you must let every thought and desire affirm that you have what you asked for' This can be very difficult. Mostly because our senses are saying different things, the reality of life is saying 'you can't be serious' 'cant you see?' Hence it is easier to break down and say look, I better be realistic . And it is usually at that stage that the devil triumphs. So do not allow doubt to persist. Reject doubt and live in a positive frame of mind. Keep restating the word. Declare like Jesus declared in Matthew 4, that it is written . The devil can be resisted. James 4:7 confirmed that we can resist the devil and 'he will flee from you' One of the key passages of the bible that Kenneth Haggin used is 1 Peter 5: 8. The devil is walking like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour. He is not the Lion of the tribe of Judah, he is a pr...

STEPS TO ASKING THE FATHER

The theme of our prayers for this month is knocking on Heavens doors. Key text John 16: 23-24; John 15:17 In Psalm 83, the psalmist explains that because the enemy cannot get to God, he goes for the children (us); But God has made us more than conquerors through Christ Jesus ( Romans 8:37), hence we have victory over the enemy. This month, we will experience and testify to this; by asking Our Father, and knocking on Heavens doors ”. We have an assurance that He will answer (John 16: 23-24), and He will make our joy full. Let us consider the scriptures: John 16:23-24 23  “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24  until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. The Lord mentioned “you” 6 times, if you were not important the Lord will not have mentioned “you” six times. The underlying fact is that it is about YOU. Yo...

ANOINTED TO MULTIPLY-IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS (2)

Just like the farmer in our story was blessed with a goose, not with a golden egg, God blesses our tangibles and intangibles to bring out the fruits there from. Hence ensure you do not forsake the days of humble beginnings. The story of the man who gave out talents in Matthew 25:14-30 is very appropriate. The man that got one talent was a mean man, he wanted more without working on the little he was given. He was condemned. Throughout the bible we see examples of how God operate. Let us see some examples: 1. He gave Moses a rod. Ex 4:2. And the Lord said to him 'what is in your hand?' This was a small thing that Moses already had use of, in looking after his father in law's flock. But when it was anointed for service of God, the rod delivered miracles including delivering a whole nation. When the Lord want to deliver a nation, he gives a rod. That same rod, became a serpent Ex 4:3;4:17;7:10 That same rod parted the Red Sea Ex 14:16 That same rod brought out water from ...

ANOINTED TO MULTIPLY(5) In the final analysis (1)

Having understood that we have not been called to poverty, and that we have been redeemed for prosperity and to multiply, it is therefore our responsibility to ensure that we jealously guard the wealth and the inheritance that God has bestowed on us. I have some suggestions: There is a fable by Aesop which wonderfully bring out these lessons. It's the fable of the farmer and the goose that laid the golden eggs. It is said that this farmer became broke and desired wealth. One day he found a goose in his farm. This goose lays a golden egg everyday. The farmer was excited and would take the egg to the market and sold each one for good money. However, the farmer could not wait patiently for a daily laying of the golden eggs. One day he grabbed the goose and opened its belly hoping to take all the eggs inside it. Unfortunately the farmer did not find any egg and also lost the goose. He experienced a regrettable end and suffered from his foolishness.  Two important lessons: 1. Ensur...

ANOINTED TO MULTIPLY (4)

Also in Psalm 92: 12-14- God's word confirm His expectation for the  righteous. Be righteous and you will flourish like a palm tree.  What do we mean by being righteous? It is not a state of being 100% pure and holy. If so the psalmist wouldn't have stated in Proverbs 24:16 'for a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity'  When we say righteous it means being in line with God's word. So, even when you sin, you have a right to seek His forgiveness, and He will cleanse you of all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. The use of the word 'palm-tree' is a simile. A simile is a figure of speech in which two unlike things are explicitly compared.  A righteous shall be like a palm tree. We cannot understand how blessed we are to be compared to a palm tree until we find out how blessed and enriched the palm tree is. 'Riches in the Palm tree' 1. Oil products 2. Medicinal usages and ripe old age 3. Wood ...

ANOINTED TO MULTIPLY(2)

3.  Recognize the process of continuous multiplications Having experienced multiplication in the order of Amos 13:9, we can experience continuous multiplication (Leviticus 26:4,- 7);  for God ensure a continuous increase of our seed, b y giving rain in its season- this means your land shall not be dry nor shall it have patches.. God also ensures y our threshing reaches maturity and that there are no gaps between one season and the other. In the normal course of life, threshing will happen then vintage, then a gap before the harvest.  God is saying that He will cause you to multiply and because of the big harvest, whilst you are still harvesting, threshing will be happening and your vintage will still have matured.   God then assures us that as you eat your bread, you will eat it in fullest. This means that you will always be satisfied.  Some people can eat or eat and not be satisfied. That will not be your portion, When we eat our bread  we wi...

ANOINTED FOR MULTIPLICATION-(1) GEN 17:2

UNDERSTANDING (ANOINTED) COVENANT RELATIONSHIP OF MULTIPLICATIONS What is an anointed covenant relationship of Multiplications and what does it mean to me? God’s plan for every Christian is to have an anointed covenant relationship of multiplications with us. (Gen1:28). Anointed, simply means a person separated by calling or gift to God or an individual dedicated to the service of God in a specific calling.  A covenant relationship means a connection between two people based on performance from both sides, resulting in benefits for both parties.  When we add “divine” to the above it triggers multiplication engineered by God. Gen 17: 1-2 shows how this happened to Abram (the anointed one); Abraham (divinely anointed). God said  to him “walk before Me ( perform your part in this covenant ) and be blameless“).  And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”( Covenant relationship of multiplication) Just as ...

WIRED TO PROSPER(9) OPERATING UNDER OPEN HEAVEN

As part of God's agenda for divine prosperity for his children, he ensures that we, his children, operate under open heavens. In Mal 3:10, the bible talks about windows of heaven being opened. This is the experience that tithers experience. God himself assured us of this kind of prosperity on the condition that we are faithful in our tithing and giving. It is perhaps the only place in the Bible that God says to us to challenge him. However, this is the first step of this kind of prosperity. There is a limit to which supply can come from windows. The next stage that God can take you to is what is called doors of Heavens. I believe what you experience in this regard is a bigger opening, and it is not limited to meeting your financial needs, and it extends to all others parts of your life. There is also open heavens. This is the peak of having the 3 John 1:2 blessings come. You are blessed in every area, favour, good health, helpers etc. How to enjoy Open heaven: 1. Through...

WIRED TO PROSPER(8) ABRAHAMIC LINK- COVENANT RELATIONSHIP

God gives to and blesses the people that He has covenant relationship with. Usually they are people that he has trusted to look after His wealth in their custody. It is apparent that once God established a heart of total obedience in Abraham, through various forms of obedient acts, including paying his tithe 'of all', He entered into a covenant with him.  Genesis 15:1 "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward' When Abram could not understand that phrase, he requested to know how God would bless him and bring the promise in his life to fruition. He asked God 'what would you give me, seeing I go childless...' God responded by assuring him and declared in verse 5...'Look now towards heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them. So shall your descendants be' What transpired after Abram believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness, was a ceremony of covenant and blood See Gen 15:9-21. Despite Abr...

UNDERSTANDING DIVINE DESTINY-Destiny 1.0. WERE YOU KNOWN?

Jer 1:5 Before I  formed you in the womb  I   knew   you; Being known by God is also being known by the enemy . He will look out for you as God himself looks out for you. Let not God knowing you be left in the past, let it stay in the present tense. As we take the last 3 pillars of the series on destiny, it is important to note that we have entered into the most captivating and yet important stage.  When God said he knew Jeremiah and in effect he knows us. What does He mean: I believe the perception or insight is in two ways:  1. He knew us before he formed us, even before we got into our mother's womb as tiny seed fertilised. This does not mean our souls were existing somewhere before we were born, or our souls had been formed somewhere, and God allocated the souls to us at conception. (This is the belief of some non Christian faith). It is that God is omniscient. That is, God knows everything that can be known about a character. He has co...
