STEPS TO ASKING THE FATHER-STEP 4:GUARD YOUR MIND
In the last piece, we reviewed the need to think positively when you have prayed. Refusing to allow what you see discourage or break down your prayer fervency. In this piece, I want to say a little about the next step. It is guarding your mind . Note the following key points: 1. Your mind is a battle field , you are responsible for guarding it. Your mind is what the devil want to use to confuse you. He is interested in distorting your mind in such a way that you begin to doubt the word of God as soon as you have presented that petition before God. He knows, once you doubt, all faithful expectations are gone. The bible teaches in James 1:6-8 'But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways' This is a very damning passage for anyone who doubts.
