WIRED TO PROSPER(6) THE ABRAHAMIC LINK.
The seed, in
the hand of a farmer, brings forth a hundred fold. However, in the hand of a novice,
it suffers a great deal. And if you want to be a doctor you go to the medical
school. If you want to be a lawyer, you go to a law school, and of course if
you want to be a Pilot you have to go to a flying school. Can you perform
surgery having not qualified as a Surgeon, nor appear in court, without being a
lawyer/advocate or fly without a licence.
So how do
you think you can be prosperous without being schooled in the book of life and
prosperity. 2 Peter 1: 3 'according to his divine power has given
unto us all things that pertains to life and godliness...'He owns
everything Psalm 50:10; 'For every beast
of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills' Haggai 2:8; 'The silver is mine, and the gold is mine,
says the Lord of Hosts' also see Ecc 5:19; and 2Cor 8:9. That book is the Bible.
If you want to prosper you ought to look in it. He gave us power to get wealth.
Deuteronomy 8:18 'But thou shall remember
the Lord thy God for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may
establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers'
'Thy fathers'
mentioned in that scripture refers to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is a generational
inheritance. We have a connection with them when we gave our life. The Bible
tells us in Galatians 3:13-14 'The
blessings of Abraham might come upon us'. It meant being born again is a guarantee
to being blessed. However, we know that being born again alone is not
sufficient. You have to understand why God so blessed Abraham, what did he do
to be so prosperous, up to Jacob the 3rd generation. I think that should be our
starting point.
In Isaiah
51:1-2...look unto Abraham...What
does God want us to see in Abraham.

University of Prosperity:
Module 1
1.
Obedience.
Obedience is
a gateway and pathway to abundance, and
to prosperity. God called Abram, only once and he answered and left his family,
even at his age. It's not an easy thing to shift your base at age 75.
Genesis 12:4.
So Abram departed as the Lord had
spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five
years old when he departed from Haran.
Obedience
and heeding the call of God is paramount. God loves those who believe, seek and
trust in Him. Ps 34:10 He says they will
not lack anything good.
In Job 36:11.. this fundamental truth is evident...If they obey and serve Him,
They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in
pleasures.
Are you
obeying Him. Total obedience. If you obey Him, you will serve Him.
Obedience
and service come before prosperity and pleasures.
Is 1:19,
If
you are willing and obedient,
You
shall eat the good of the land;
Obedience
comes before eating. Obey Him and the land will be subdued before you.
Ps 112:1-3
Blessed is the man who fears
the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His
commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches will be in
his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
So not only you, but your descendants. A man's
obedience can open the doors of blessings to generations yet unborn. No wonder,
Isaac, Jacob and we, the spiritual children of Abraham are still being blessed.
