NOVEMBER: THE MONTH SIGNS AND WONDERS FOLLOW ME
NOVEMBER: THE MONTH SIGNS AND WONDERS FOLLOW ME
Mark 16: 17....And these signs will follow those who believe...
It’s most amazing how much we Christian run after money and other material things. It is particularly surprising how we go all out to ensure that they do not leave our sight. We make great efforts to seek as many signs and wonder as possible. They become the parameters for our success and our Christian landmarks. see John 4:48. Whereas, we should not be seeking after signs and wonders, they should be running and following after us. The bible is clear who should be following whom: Take for example in Mark 16: 17, God promised us that signs will follow us. His statement of assurance is definite, not arbitrary. It is infinite and not finite. It is inspirational, encouraging and reassuring. It does not take rocket science to understand that God has favoured us immensely with this remark. For example, the children of Israel had the experience see Deuteronomy 6:22-24; Also Daniel 6:27; and all through the bible we see signs and wonders following those who spend time believing and trusting God. It takes the sweat out of your effort, and taken the burdens away from your shoulders. Oh I love serving God. I love looking back and see his feats of signs and wonders following me.
But how do signs and wonders begin to follow us? The new Christians of the New Testament began to enjoy these peculiarities from their homes, where they gather to praise, worship and break bread. See Acts 2:1-3; 43, they waited on Jesus, see Acts 4:30; they waited and supported each other from the house groups and cells. The bible records that after these not only were they finding favour, they also had many souls added to them. I note in particular, that immediately after the gathering, then next chapter recorded Peter and John healing that lame man at the temple gate. Act 3; They were not men boasting of their material possessions, they were ordinary men who possessed spiritual support and power of Jesus of Nazareth. The lame man received his healing and followed them into the temple. See also Acts 5:12-16 Once you have sought God, he promised to ensure that all things will be added to you. You seek God by waiting (fasting) and trusting that he who has promised will fulfil it in Jesus Name.
ACTION: We have to begin our fasting for our signs and wonders to be manifested. By fasting and waiting, the month of November will be the womb that will deliver our messages of joy in December. This must start in every home via the house group in December. I shall not miss out.
