WORKERS CREED: SKILL

What is Skill?
1. the ability, coming from one's knowledge, practice, aptitude etc to do something well.
2. a craft, trade or job requiring dexterity or special training in which a person has competence and experience.

The above definitions give us the understanding of skill in the world. The bible teaches us something that underlines the source of that skill. That source is God. This month turn whatever you think you have, know and have unto God. Do not lean on your own understanding.Prov 3:5-6

Let's look at the scriptures that show the skills of men given by God.

DANIEL
Daniel 5:11-12
There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers. Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”

BEZALEL and OHILIAB
"“See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner  of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner  of workmanship. “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you:"-Ex 31:1-6

Note the 5 wonderful things that we need to possess to have perfect and godly progress demonstrated by these men are:
1. Swiftness aka divine speedy accomplishment
2. Strength
3. Wisdom
4. Understanding
5. Skill

On the other hand, Solomon the wise man makes it clear in Ecc 9:11
I returned and saw under the sun that—
The race is not to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor bread to the wise,
Nor riches to men of understanding,
Nor favor to men of skill;
But time and chance happen to them all.

I want to submit to you that you may possess all the 5 qualities but without God bringing them to pass and anointing and appointing you specially for exploits, all effort would be like blowing hot air. He has promised to open the doors this month, so open your eyes wide.

All the five must trace their sources from God. If I were you, this month, I would add 'divine' at the back of all of them. For without these five, no one can have progress in business or career.

Enjoy the month of divine opportunities, whilst we explore the deeper meaning of this piece this month.
