INSPIRED FOR GROWTH
Inspired for Growth
1 Cor 15:36-39
Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.
Every one and every man and woman created was created for growth. for change and for dynamism.
Gen 1:11-13
11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.
Let everyone celebrate his or her peculiarity, you can only produce your kind, and take people to where you have been.
Gen 1:26-28
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
We were created for multiplication. So, it may be strange if a creature of God does not change. An unchanging God makes it compulsory for his creatures to be a changing phenomenon. There is a people waiting for you to populate them, there is a market waiting for your trade, there is is a soul panting for your word from God. They all have one thing in common...they need your influence and inspiration to grow. They want someone to take them somewhere they should be. Someplace where they can find fulfilment
Why...cause a person or organisation that does not change is a dying creation. Kingdoms that have ruled in the past...Romans, Persians, Greek etc have died or lost their potency and power because they could not live up to the original idea or vision that their progenitors set down. They perished. Imagine the car manufacturer that won't change...or a clothes designer that won't change it's style, and not to talk of the church that would not develop with dynamism.
Hence it is apparent that there is something about change as a process. Its got little to do with words but much to do with actions. Paul said... And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1Cor 2:4-5
Paul said God made our bodies to grow, to change to shed off old stuff and bring new changes. The baby that won't change is a stunted baby, and would be one that needs medical attention. As this is, so His plan for the church. The church must and shall grow physically and spiritually. It has to be mutual, one cannot be over emphasised or limited over the other.
Every department of the church must and ought to grow,,,,and one dept that is growing must act as an encouragement to the one that is struggling...inspiring each other to grow. 1 Cor 10:24. Not to be spoon fed...not in talk but in action....man that's an adult that's is spoon fed is one that is sick.
How to grow.
If you look at the key passage... The strategy for growth is in the passage. Paul was saying to the Corinthians amongst many things that God has given us the strategy for growth. Die first...live with seed, die with empty! No wonder, in the book of John 12:24, it says Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
The position of death presupposes a state of utmost humility when you do not attribute anything to yourself, where you almost and totally rely on Gods grace and Gods fertiliser to give you all the prerequisites and manure of growth: wisdom. Knowledge, understanding , revelation and above all love. Paul in 1Cor 3:6 ...says even though he planted and Apollo watered...it's God that gave the increase. In 1Cor 15....he concluded, saying By the grace of God I am what I am. Let's give glory praise and honour to the Lord for big and small things he has done, and then see how He himself will grow us in all areas. Let us be the good seed, and he will find good soil for us. Cooperate with your brethren and God will encourage you with growth.
