SEASONS OF GREATNESS---JAN-MARCH 2012 Alexander III of Macedon (20/21 July 356 – 10/11 June 323 BC), commonly known as Alexander the Great, was a king of Macedon, a state in northern ancient Greece. Born in Pella in 356 BC, Alexander was tutored by Aristotle until the age of 16. By the age of thirty, he had created one of the largest empires of the ancient world, stretching from the Ionian Sea to the Himalayas. He was undefeated in battle, and is considered one of history's most successful commanders. He was so great that ‘great’ was added to his name. However, as great as this man was, he was at best still a man. He was nowhere close to Jesus. He conquered the world but did not save a single soul. He died, and his bones can still be found. Jesus is still Alive. He is El Shaddai, The Almighty. He is greater than the greatest. It is that greatness that He wants to you to have in this season (January-March 2012).
